Yesterday, I told you about how\u00a0you can become your own\u00a0<\/strong>WORST EMPLOYEE…<\/strong><\/p>\n

Well, the flood of replies tells me that\u00a0I hit a nerve. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Most people agreed agreed with me that\u00a0they haven’t been giving their business\u00a0the RESPECT it deserves and that my\u00a0simple 3-4 item checklist strategy was\u00a0bang on…<\/p>\n

Quick recap about my checklist method…<\/strong><\/p>\n

Execute just 3-4 tasks everyday that will <\/em>DIRECTLY bring home the turkey bacon.<\/em><\/p>\n

But there was one stand-out that\u00a0decided to CHALLENGE me:<\/h2>\n

“Your checklist idea may work for you,\u00a0<\/em>but how am I supposed to know what tasks\u00a0<\/em>to focus on? And how am I supposed to\u00a0<\/em>outsource the rest? It’s easy for you\u00a0<\/em>because you’re the guru with outsourcers\u00a0<\/em>to do the work for you. What about the\u00a0<\/em>little guy like me. I can’t afford that.”<\/em>

Joe, I appreciate you reaching out and\u00a0encouraging me to clarify!<\/p>\n

Firstly, I’m no guru, nor am I interested in\u00a0ever becoming one.<\/p>\n

I’m all about getting you the results you\u00a0deserve and interacting with you directly\u00a0<\/strong>(that’s why I actually answer my emails…\u00a0try getting through to a “guru”!)<\/p>\n

Secondly, your checklist is all about focusing\u00a0on the tasks that directly result in either:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. More<\/em>\u00a0highly qualified\u00a0leads<\/strong>\u00a0entering\u00a0into your funnel<\/li>\n
  2. More<\/em>\u00a0highly qualified\u00a0joint venture partners\u00a0<\/strong>you can work with<\/li>\n
  3. More<\/em>\u00a0highly targeted\u00a0products<\/strong>\u00a0to sell to\u00a0your existing customers<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    It’s about converting a lead into a customer, then a customer into a RAVING FAN.<\/h2>\n

    That’s it. Anything outside of that core area\u00a0isn’t mission critical for you to devote your day to.<\/p>\n

    So let’s say you sell an exercise home study\u00a0DVD course. You can be the stock boy or girl
    \nand fill boxes, print invoices, and make daily\u00a0trips to the post office…<\/p>\n

    Or you can focus on\u00a0recording more videos<\/strong>\u00a0about\u00a0why your DVD rocks,\u00a0contacting potential JV partners\u00a0<\/strong>to host a webinar for their list, or\u00a0creating additional\u00a0<\/strong>products or training<\/strong>\u00a0to sell to existing customers.<\/p>\n

    That’s just the tip of the iceberg, but you can see\u00a0what I’m getting at:\u00a0DO THE STUFF THAT <\/strong>MAKES YOU PROFITABLE.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    And as CEO of your own company, you need to\u00a0focus on the big picture stuff…<\/p>\n

    • Mailing stuff isn’t the job of a CEO<\/li>\n
    • Creating graphics isn’t the job of a CEO<\/li>\n
    • Tinkering with WordPress isn’t the job of a CEO<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      And that brings me to the issue of outsourcing…<\/h2>\n

      Outsourcing does NOT have to be expensive\u00a0<\/strong>and you\u00a0don’t have to take on full time staff. Not at all.<\/p>\n

      • You can have a logo created for 5 bucks at Fiverr.com.<\/li>\n
      • You can have WordPress installed or 5 bucks at Fiverr.com.<\/li>\n
      • You can have trained pros take on simple tasks at FancyHands.com<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        And once you’ve gotten that far, it’s time to\u00a0get back to the stuff that brings home the dough.<\/p>\n

        This isn’t difficult. The difficult part is\u00a0being your own boss… setting your own deadlines…
        \nand having the\u00a0DISCIPLINE TO GET STUFF DONE.<\/strong><\/p>\n

        No more excuses,\u00a0it’s time to EXECUTE.<\/strong><\/p>\n
