{"id":10717,"date":"2011-09-13T11:20:36","date_gmt":"2011-09-13T16:20:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.plr.me\/?p=10717"},"modified":"2025-12-16T14:57:38","modified_gmt":"2025-12-16T22:57:38","slug":"i-hit-a-nerve","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.plr.me\/blog\/i-hit-a-nerve\/","title":{"rendered":"I hit a nerve&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday, I told you about how\u00a0<strong>you can become your own\u00a0<\/strong><strong>WORST EMPLOYEE&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Well, the flood of replies tells me that\u00a0I hit a nerve. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Most people agreed agreed with me that\u00a0they haven&#8217;t been giving their business\u00a0the RESPECT it deserves and that my\u00a0simple 3-4 item checklist strategy was\u00a0bang on&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Quick recap about my checklist method&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Execute just 3-4 tasks everyday that will <\/em><em>DIRECTLY bring home the turkey bacon.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>But there was one stand-out that\u00a0decided to CHALLENGE me:<\/h2>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Your checklist idea may work for you,\u00a0<\/em><em>but how am I supposed to know what tasks\u00a0<\/em><em>to focus on? And how am I supposed to\u00a0<\/em><em>outsource the rest? It&#8217;s easy for you\u00a0<\/em><em>because you&#8217;re the guru with outsourcers\u00a0<\/em><em>to do the work for you. What about the\u00a0<\/em><em>little guy like me. I can&#8217;t afford that.&#8221;<\/em><br \/>\n<em>-Joe Chesney<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Joe, I appreciate you reaching out and\u00a0encouraging me to clarify!<\/p>\n<p>Firstly, I&#8217;m no guru, nor am I interested in\u00a0ever becoming one.<\/p>\n<p><strong>I&#8217;m all about getting you the results you\u00a0deserve and interacting with you directly\u00a0<\/strong>(that&#8217;s why I actually answer my emails&#8230;\u00a0try getting through to a &#8220;guru&#8221;!)<\/p>\n<p>Secondly, your checklist is all about focusing\u00a0on the tasks that directly result in either:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><em>More<\/em>\u00a0highly qualified\u00a0<strong>leads<\/strong>\u00a0entering\u00a0into your funnel<\/li>\n<li><em>More<\/em>\u00a0highly qualified\u00a0<strong>joint venture partners\u00a0<\/strong>you can work with<\/li>\n<li><em>More<\/em>\u00a0highly targeted\u00a0<strong>products<\/strong>\u00a0to sell to\u00a0your existing customers<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>It&#8217;s about converting a lead into a customer, then a customer into a RAVING FAN.<\/h2>\n<p>That&#8217;s it. Anything outside of that core area\u00a0isn&#8217;t mission critical for you to devote your day to.<\/p>\n<p>So let&#8217;s say you sell an exercise home study\u00a0DVD course. You can be the stock boy or girl<br \/>\nand fill boxes, print invoices, and make daily\u00a0trips to the post office&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Or you can focus on\u00a0<strong>recording more videos<\/strong>\u00a0about\u00a0why your DVD rocks,\u00a0<strong>contacting potential JV partners\u00a0<\/strong>to host a webinar for their list, or\u00a0<strong>creating additional\u00a0<\/strong><strong>products or training<\/strong>\u00a0to sell to existing customers.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s just the tip of the iceberg, but you can see\u00a0what I&#8217;m getting at:\u00a0<strong>DO THE STUFF THAT <\/strong><strong>MAKES YOU PROFITABLE.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And as CEO of your own company, you need to\u00a0focus on the big picture stuff&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mailing stuff isn&#8217;t the job of a CEO<\/li>\n<li>Creating graphics isn&#8217;t the job of a CEO<\/li>\n<li>Tinkering with WordPress isn&#8217;t the job of a CEO<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>And that brings me to the issue of outsourcing&#8230;<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Outsourcing does NOT have to be expensive\u00a0<\/strong>and you\u00a0don&#8217;t have to take on full time staff. Not at all.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You can have a logo created for 5 bucks at Fiverr.com.<\/li>\n<li>You can have WordPress installed or 5 bucks at Fiverr.com.<\/li>\n<li>You can have trained pros take on simple tasks at FancyHands.com<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And once you&#8217;ve gotten that far, it&#8217;s time to\u00a0get back to the stuff that brings home the dough.<\/p>\n<p>This isn&#8217;t difficult. The difficult part is\u00a0being your own boss&#8230; setting your own deadlines&#8230;<br \/>\nand having the\u00a0<strong>DISCIPLINE TO GET STUFF DONE.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No more excuses,<strong>\u00a0it&#8217;s time to EXECUTE.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Carpe Diem,<\/p>\n<p>Ronnie Nijmeh<br \/>\nPLR.me<\/p>\n<p><strong>P.S.
